Kaila Tatman is a RYT-200, SUP yoga certified, and a licensed massage therapist.
Kaila’s passion for yoga started in high school. It wasn’t until the past three years that she became dedicated to the practice and decided to take her personal practice a step further by becoming a RYT. During her teacher training a fire ignited in her and a desire to pursue this passion for yoga. In the summer of 2014 she completed a weekend of SUP yoga teacher training, with the incredible Amelia Travis, and Mary k. Benny. With a foundation in yoga Kaila grew more interested in anatomy and physiology and decided to continue into a field of therapeutic touch that would give her a better understanding of the body. In April 2015, she became a licensed massage therapist. Her desire to pursue all of these passions and combine them into a fulfilling career has led her to start teaching yoga on and off the water along with filling most of her days with massage clients at Involution yoga studio. Kaila brings a joyful energy to yoga classes, teaching with an open heart and a true love for what she does.

What does being a Glide Yogi mean to you?
It means promoting a quality brand of paddle boards that are as eye catching as they are durable. Also, being part of the Glide yogi community with people that share a common interest in teaching SUP yoga. The ability to share ideas and collaborate with new people is very empowering.

Favorite Pose(s) for SUP Yoga?
Headstand is my go to pose. I also love the balance of flowing through a sun salutation on the water.
Best advice for beginner SUP Yoga:
Make sure you fall in during your first class..the fear is gone after that!
