The Backwater – Glide Performance, Streamlined for Simpler Days

The Glide O2 Backwater is built for anglers who want serious stability, gear capacity, and real rigging options—without the extra features they’ll never use.

It shares the same wide, flat-deck shape as our top-tier Angler series, but in a more minimalist package. You get a rock-solid platform, RailBlaza and Scotty mount compatibility, and 500 lbs of capacity—without needing a roof rack or a second set of hands.

It’s made for portability, tight storage, and long weekends when you want to pack light, move fast, and still fish hard.

Why Anglers Choose the Backwater:

  • Wide & Stable Platform – Same deck shape as the Angler for confident casting.

  • 500 lb Capacity – Bring gear, cooler, dry bags, even the dog.

  • Rig-Ready Mounts – Front RailBlaza-compatible base + rear Scotty-compatible plates.

  • Foldable USA Fin Box – Tracks clean on the water, folds flat for easy packing.

  • Woven Dropstitch Core – Lightweight, stiff, and responsive under load.

  • Double-Layer Rails – Welded for durability, strong enough for real use.

  • Streamlined Kit – No extras you don’t need. Just Glide quality where it counts.

Highlighted Features + Benefits

Same Proven Shape as the Angler

The Backwater uses the same proven fishing shape as the Angler, delivering excellent stability and fishing performance in a more simplified package with streamlined construction and accessories.

Woven Dropstitch Core

Most inflatable boards use knitted dropstitch and need very high PSI to feel rigid. The Backwater’s woven core creates a stiffer platform at lower pressure with less flex under load from gear, coolers, or movement around the board.

Reinforced Welded Rails

The Backwater uses a heat-welded inner rail with a reinforced exterior glue band for added durability. This construction helps create a stronger, more consistent seam than traditional fully glued rails.

image

Rated to 20 PSI

The Backwater feels rigid and stable at normal paddling pressures while still maintaining safety margin during hot summer conditions as internal air pressure naturally rises.

Fishing Mounts Built In

Integrated mounting points allow easy attachment of rod holders and accessories without drilling into the board or building complicated aftermarket setups.

500 LB Capacity

The Backwater was designed to comfortably handle larger paddlers, fishing gear, coolers, or dogs without the board feeling unstable or overloaded.
